Tootoomoo, Islington

Tootoomoo is a tapas style pan-Asain restaurant with branches around London. They offer brunch, lunch and dinner menus at an affordable price.

The interior is very funky and laid back, it’s a great place to go with some friends on the weekend!

So, we had the bottomless brunch that consists of unlimited dishes and drinks for 1 hour and a half. We started off with edamame, spring rolls, tempura and duck gyoza.

All of the starters were really tasty! The edamame was perfectly cooked and salted – there’s nothing worse than overcooked edamame. The spring rolls were just as you would expect them to taste, crispy on the outside with some nice flavoured vegetables inside. The tempura was nice and crispy however the only thing was that I think there was too much batter – the prawn to batter ratio was not very good, but overall they had a good flavour. Lastly, the duck gyoza’s were delicious, the duck inside was tasty and had a nice sauce on top.

For our next course, we had chicken skewers, duck & pancakes, pad thai and a thai green curry.

The chicken skewers had a good flavour and the chicken was well cooked. It also went well with the peanut butter sauce. The duck and pancakes were also tasty, some parts of the duck were a bit dry but overall it was good. Lastly, I really enjoyed the thai green curry – it had a really authentic flavour to it.

Tootoomoo is a great place to go with a group of friends for a good value meal, it is very affordable – especially the bottomless brunch.
