14 Jan Veranda Resort & Spa, Hua Hin
One of my favourite things to do when I travel is to go and visit different hotels – especially in Thailand because they are all so unique. So off we go to spend another day at another amazing hotel.
Unlike most hotels, we were allowed to rent the beds for the day and have lunch there. It was so peaceful lying by the pool looking out to the beautiful sea. Veranda is a relatively big hotel, with a seafront restaurant, a cafe and a main restaurant.
Here are some photos so you can see for yourselves how amazing it is.
As per usual, it’s time to talk about the food!
For lunch we ordered the King Prawn salad, a wagu beef burger and a side of chicken fried rice. I’m not sure what it is but Thai fried rice is the best rice I have ever tasted, it has a specific taste that i’ve never been able to work out what it is. So when I’m there, I always have to eat as much as I can as no one can do it better.
The wagu beef burger was amazing, the meat was really soft and had a lot of flavour. For some reason I doubted it would be very nice because it’s not a traditional dish for them – but I was completely wrong!
The tiger prawns were delicious, however it wasn’t really a prawn salad rather it was prawns on a bed of letuce.
After lunch it was time to do some exploring around the hotel! The grounds were beautiful, covered in beautiful trees and flowers.
The hotel rooms are really cool because you get a good sized balcony backing onto the pond. So it’s a really nice place to sit and enjoy the view after a day by the pool or on the beach.
Veranda is one of my favourite hotels to spend the day at when I’m in Hua Hin, because the food is good, you have a nice big pool, and you’re right by the beach. So if you’re ever in Hua Hin, its a great place to stay or just to spend the day at.
